Norbit 2: Rasputia’s Revenge (2026)

The Logline

Norbit and Kate’s peaceful existence is shattered when Rasputia returns to Boiling Springs—not just as an ex-wife, but as a billionaire reality TV mogul—intent on bulldozing the orphanage to build the world’s most dangerous theme park: “Rasputia Land.”

The Extended Synopsis

The Quiet Life The ground is shaking again… and this time, it’s not an earthquake. It has been twenty years since Norbit (Eddie Murphy) finally stood up for himself. He and Kate (Thandiwe Newton) are living a blissful, quiet life running the Golden Wonton Orphanage. Norbit has grown a backbone, the kids are happy, and the nightmares have finally stopped. Or so he thought.

The Monster Returns Rasputia (Eddie Murphy) is back, and she is bigger—in every sense of the word—than ever. She has reinvented herself as a global brand. She is the star of the hit reality show The Real Housewives of the Buffet Line and the CEO of “Rasputia Wellness,” a confused empire that sells waist trainers, deep-fried diet shakes, and questionable crypto-currency. She sweeps back into Boiling Springs in a custom-made, gold-plated monster truck. She isn’t just looking for lunch; she’s looking for revenge.

The Plot Rasputia reveals her master plan: she has purchased the land surrounding the orphanage and plans to bulldoze Norbit’s home to build “Rasputia Land,” a vanity theme park featuring rides like the “Latimore Loop” and an all-you-can-eat water park.

The Three Faces of Eddie Eddie Murphy puts the prosthetics back on to deliver a tour-de-force of comedic endurance.

  • Norbit: Still soft-spoken but fighting to protect his legacy.
  • Rasputia: A force of nature who weaponizes her acrylic nails and her lawyers with equal ferocity.
  • Mr. Wong: The politically incorrect mentor returns, running a “defense dojo” to train the orphans in the art of “whale harpooning” to fight back against Rasputia’s corporate takeover.

The Crew The chaos is amplified by the returning cast. Lord Have Mercy (Katt Williams) is now Rasputia’s overworked, underpaid social media manager, livestreaming her rampages to millions. Jack Latimore (Terry Crews) returns as her muscle, though he’s mostly just trying to promote his own line of tiny tank tops.

The Climax The film culminates in a slapstick battle royale at the groundbreaking ceremony for the theme park. Norbit must channel his inner strength (and Mr. Wong’s dubious advice) to defeat Rasputia in a physical showdown on top of a giant inflatable slide.

Why This Pitch Works

  • The Satire: Updating Rasputia to be a “Wellness Influencer” and Reality Star allows for biting commentary on modern celebrity culture, while still keeping the jokes broad and physical.
  • The Nostalgia: Whether you loved or hated the first one, the character of Rasputia is iconic in meme culture. Seeing her return with a budget and an ego to match is a strong hook.
  • The Murphy Factor: It showcases Eddie Murphy doing what he does best: playing multiple characters who argue with each other.
