BLOODHOUNDS – SEASON 2 (2026): “A NEW BATTLE IN THE UNDERGROUND RING”
The action-packed flame burns brighter than ever as Netflix prepares to launch the sequel to the Korean martial arts phenomenon.

After Bloodhounds (2023) took social media by storm and topped the list of the top 10 most-watched series in over 80 countries on Netflix, the publisher has officially confirmed that season 2 of the series — Bloodhounds — Season 2, will be released globally on Netflix in Q2 2026.

The first season plunged viewers into the brutal world of Kim Geon-woo and Hong Woo-jin — two former Marines and martial artists — as they fought against the loan shark gang Smile Capital to save Geon-woo’s mother from overwhelming debt. With intense acting, realistic fight scenes, and touching bromance, the series quickly captured the hearts of audiences worldwide.

Season 2 Synopsis: From Loan Sharking to the Underground Boxing World

According to what the producers have revealed, Bloodhounds — Season 2 will open a completely new chapter in the journey of the duo Geon-woo and Woo-jin. After subduing the Smile Capital organization in the previous season, the two main characters are now drawn into a global underground boxing tournament — where power brokers and elites bet on life-or-death matches, where fame, money, and life are laid bare in the ring.

In particular, Season 2 promises to expand the setting beyond the borders of South Korea, delving into the dark world of the “Dark League,” where fighters are forced to fight for the benefit of underground forces. These aren’t just simple boxing matches — they’re also a confrontation with a corrupt system, illegal gambling, and the characters’ own pasts.

The cast returns — and a new, challenging enemy awaits.

One of the highlights that excites fans is the return of two central figures:

Woo Do-hwan reprises his role as Kim Geon-woo, a boxer with a righteous heart.

Lee Sang-yi returns as Hong Woo-jin, a loyal friend and indispensable teammate in every battle.

Furthermore, season 2 welcomes Jung Ji-hoon (Rain) — a popular singer and actor — as Baek Jeong, a powerful new villain behind the underground fighting system, whose strength even makes Geon-woo wary. This also marks Rain’s first time playing a villain in his more than two-decade acting career.

Additionally, supporting cast members like Choi Si-won will return as Hong Min-beom—a character who supported the main couple in the first season—adding depth to the relationships between the factions in the new story.

Expectations and the Future of Bloodhounds

With its fast-paced storytelling, praised action sequences, and blend of friendship, honor, and justice, Bloodhounds season 2 is one of the most anticipated projects of 2026 on Netflix. Critics predict that the expanded international setting and new villains will make this season even more intense and compelling than the first.
